Mochi Sixpack

Mochi (もち): Japanese glutinous rice cake. Comes in many shapes and flavours. Some are delicious, some taste a little funny. Some of the recipes are so weird you won’t even believe they’re real.

The name “Mochi Motion” is, of course, a reference –a love letter even– to these classic Japanese desserts. The variety in different kinds of mochis has inspired us to imagine each of them in a fresh visual style (and, in true Japanese spirit, go way over the top with it). This gives us a framework to play around with techniques that are still new and experimental to us, not yet suitable for mass production. A mixed bag of surprising flavours.
